MHI International, Inc
Who We Are

Our Mission
MHI tries to build strong and effective bridges in order to link victims of war and other catastrophes in African nations with immediate, effective, and sustained mental and crisis interventions. In filling the void created by the unavailability of mental health assistance in poor, disadvantaged, and war-torn countries of Africa, MHI responds not only to the suffering of adults who bear mental and emotional scars of their horrifying experiences, but to children whose minds and hearts have been affected by the tragedies.
Why MHI Was Started
MHI is identified as a charitable and humanitarian health care organization formed for the purpose of assisting individuals or groups of people in developing nations, whose fate could be desolate without outside interventions. But unlike other international health care agencies that provide both medical and mental services, MHI focuses on mental health most of which are precipitated by disasters and usually worsened by a state of total dependency and accompanying lack of physiological needs.
