  Why MHI Was Started

MHI is identified as a charitable and humanitarian health care organization formed for the purpose of assisting individuals or groups of people in developing nations, whose fate could be desolate without outside interventions. But unlike other international health care agencies that provide both medical and mental services, MHI focuses on mental health most of which are precipitated by disasters and usually worsened by a state of total dependency and accompanying lack of physiological needs.
