A New WHO Report om mental health and development launched in New York, September 16 2010 in collaboration with the UN Department of Economic and Social Affairs. The report demonstrates how people with mental health problems have been marginalized and largely ignored. It then makes the case for governement and development agencies to pay more attention to mental health and identifies specific actions that they can take. The Report also called action to all development stakeholders: governments, civil society, multilateral agencies, bilateral agencies, global partnership, private foundations, academic and research institution, to focus their attention on integrating mental health with health and socioeconomic developments.
