Restoring the dignity of the human person through integrated health care
MHI International: working to reduce global disease burden in Africa through integrated and interdisciplinary  health care delivery programs that encompass medical, behavioral, environmental and nutritional health and well-being. Our goals and objectives are achieved through:
Fighting infectious and chronic diseases,  nutritional and socio-economic problems through behavioral, cognitive and medical intervention..

Our clinical Field Approach
______________________________
About 65% of Africa’s health and economic problems could relate to cognitive-behavior risk factors, that would, if adequately addressed, drastically reduce Africa’s endemic health care and socio-economic problems.

Integrated and multidimensional approach to problems in Africa is better than the  traditional approach
______________________________________________
Mental health intervention is the means through which so many lives can be re-directed for those who exist in refugee and IDP camps as a result of war and other violence, as well as those who are traumatized, oppressed, marginalized, and impoverished by the very social conditions surrounding them which can  be changed  through recognition of their own personal responsibility.

Yes! Mental health is at the root of  personal and social problems and many physical illnesses

Great News!
Don’t underestimate the linkage between people’s mental well-being and socio-economic development. When we ignore people's  mental health, we also run the risk of unsuccessful developmental programs, UN/WHO warned.

We work to reduce the global disease burden through integrated and interdisciplinary health delivery systems that encompass training, treatment, advocacy, and research in mental health, behavioral medicine, neuropsychiatry, and public health care services and management .

MHI International tries to build strong and effective bridges in order to link victims of war, conflict, and other catastrophes with immediate, effective, and sustained mental, emotional, psychosocial, and public health intervention. In filling the void created by the unavailability of mental and public health services in low-income, disadvantaged, and war-torn nations, MHI responds not only to the suffering of adults who bear mental and physical scars of their traumatic experiences, but to the vulnerable (children and women) whose minds and hearts have been affected by the tragics present in their lives.
